We love CBD-infused snacks & drinks so much that we created a mini-cookbook of delicious things to infuse with our full-spectrum hemp-derived CBD tincture specifically for the holidays!

Whether you are looking for healthier holiday munchie recipes or just want a CBD treat or two for yourself and your guests, keep reading!

Want to come up with your own recipes? 

Yes, chef! There are only a couple of guidelines for cooking with CBD oil. 

  1. When cooking with CBD oil, keeping the oil temp below 350 degrees Fahrenheit is vital. This will ensure that the CBD oil remains as efficient as it is straight out of the bottle. It helps to have some easy additions to dessert recipes if the main component is baked at a high temperature, such as a cream, frosting, or a dip (like you’ll see in our ginger cookie recipe.)  
  2. It is also beneficial to know how many servings you make before adding CBD to any recipe. Ending with an edible that does not have enough doses is never fun. Luckily, the formula is straightforward. 1 dropper full of CBD tincture = 1 serving. Multiply the dosage by the serving size of the recipe, and you should be successful!

Sweets:

Healthier Holiday CBD Bark

1. Healthier Holiday CBD Bark

(DF, GF) makes 10 servings

Ingredients: 

1 ½ c chocolate chips (dark, or your favorite kind)

10 droppers CBD Tincture

optional: 

¼ c pumpkin seeds

⅓ c dried sour cherries 

1 orange zest

Tools: 

saucepan, metal bowl, parchment paper, baking sheet (~13×18), spatula.

Instructions: 

Fill a saucepan ¼ full with water, then place a metal bowl over the top, creating a double boiler. Over low heat, melt the chocolate in the heated metal bowl, stirring occasionally until completely melted. Take off the heat, and let sit for five minutes, stirring halfway through. 

When the chocolate has cooled slightly, add the CBD tincture and whisk vigorously to incorporate the oil. Immediately spread on a parchment-lined baking sheet, to ¼ – ½ inch thick. Decorate the chocolate with your preferred toppings. (Some other topping suggestions: crystallized ginger, dried berries, white chocolate, nut butter, seeds, & coconut chips.)

To harden, place the pan in the fridge for 30 mins. Can be stored in a cooler place, or in the fridge. 

When hardened, break into serving-sized pieces. Enjoy!

2. CBD Whoopie Pies (Cream Recipe)

(refined sugar-free) makes 7 servings

CBD Ginger Whoopie Pies

This recipe is mainly for the dreamy, sweet & spicy CBD cream encased between two soft cookies. If you aren’t blessed with a favorite ginger cookie recipe, here is a quality recipe for healthy ginger cookies from amyshealthybaking.com. If ginger cookies aren’t your favorite, feel free to use snickerdoodles or another spiced cookie of your choice. Or, just use this for carrot cake on your birthday!

Ingredients: 

Ginger cookies (cooled)

8 oz cream cheese (low-fat or full-fat is fine) 

1/2 c maple syrup, agave, or honey

1 tsp. vanilla extract

pinch salt

¼ tsp cinnamon

⅛ tsp nutmeg 

7 droppers CBD tincture

Tools: 

electric beaters 

medium mixing bowl

piping bag, or angled spatula for cookie decorating

Instructions: 

Beat all ingredients until mixed thoroughly, and cool in the fridge for 30 mins. Pipe, or spread onto cooled cookies to create a sandwich (or eat straight out of the bowl with a spoon, we aren’t going to judge.)

3. CBD Coconut Macaroons

(DF, GF, refined sugar-free) makes 15 servings

CBD Coconut Macaroons

Ingredients:

4 egg whites

¼ – ½ c honey, maple syrup, or agave (honey works best) 

2 ½ c unsweetened shredded coconut

pinch of salt

15 droppers CBD Tincture

optional: 

dark chocolate chips

Tools: 

aluminum foil

parchment paper OR nonstick baking mat (Silpat) 

baking sheet 

electric beater

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F, and prepare the baking sheet. Note: Because these cookies burn so easily, it is crucial to either use a nonstick baking mat, or a double layer of wax, or parchment paper. 

Beat the egg whites to stiff peaks. You’ve hit the stiff peak stage when you have glossy peaks that stand straight. Mix the sweetener, coconut, salt, and CBD Tincture together thoroughly. Fold egg whites into the whole mixture.

Form the cookies using two spoons, an ice cream scoop, or your hands. Place cookies on a parchment-lined pan, a few inches apart. Cover tray loosely with aluminum foil.  Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Turn off the oven, remove aluminum, and allow to cool completely in the oven. (I like to place a wooden spoon in the door to keep air flowing in and out of the oven door.) 

Optional: melt dark chocolate chips in a double boiler, or in a microwave, and dip the cooled cookies. Cheers!

Snacks:

4. Cinna-sugar Roasted CBD Chickpea Snack 

(protein-rich snack for the table at a holiday party!) 
Vegan, Makes ~ 5 servings 

Ingredients: 

Sweet Roasted CBD Chickpeas

1 can chickpeas

3 droppers CBD Tincture

salt 

optional: 

3 Tbs. coconut sugar or white sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

Tools: 

baking tray

mixing bowl

Instructions: 

Preheat oven to 200 F. Rinse and thoroughly dry chickpeas (can be left out to air dry for an hour), and place in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast in the oven for 30 minutes. Remove, and turn the oven’s heat up to 325 F. When it reaches temperature, put the chickpea tray back in for an additional 20 minutes. After 20 mins, take the tray out of the oven, allow it to cool for 5 minutes, before stirring in 3 droppers of CBD and your preferred spices. When combined, place the tray back in the oven for 10 minutes. Remove and cool completely before enjoying!

5. Sweet & Spiced CBD Popcorn 

Vegan, GF, refined sugar-free makes ~6 servings

Sweet & Spicy CBD Popcorn

Ingredients: 

~6 cups popped popcorn 

1.5 Tbs. melted, warm coconut oil

2 Tbs. maple syrup or agave 

1 tsp cinnamon 

⅛-1/4 tsp. cayenne (depends on your spice tolerance. Completely omit if you’d prefer a sweet version). 

1/4 tsp salt

6 droppers CBD Tincture
optional:

flaky salt for garnish

Tools:

Sheet tray 

Instructions: 

Preheat over to 300 F. In a bowl, combine melted, warm coconut oil, CBD Tincture, maple syrup, and seasonings.  Whisk vigorously to incorporate the spices. Put already popped popcorn into the bowl, and toss in the seasoning to coat. Spread on a baking sheet, sprinkle with flaky salt, and bake for 20 minutes, take out and stir, then place back in the oven for 10-15 minutes. Cool completely before eating. Cheers!

 

CBD Parmesan Crisp

6. Easy Cheesy CBD Crackers for Christmas Charcuterie Board

Ingredients: 

Parmesan cheese (from a shaker or grated is fine) 

CBD Tincture  

Tools: 

Muffin tin

Instructions: 

Place 1 Tbs. of parmesan into the bottom of each of the muffin tin cups. Drop ¼ dropper of CBD into each cup. Place in a 325 F oven for 15-20 mins. Remove when they are golden. Let cool completely, and serve on a holiday charcuterie board!

Drinks:

7. CBD Hot Buttered Rum

Can be made DF! This mixture makes 4 servings

CBD Hot Buttered Rum

Ingredients:

Butter Mixture: 

1 stick unsalted butter (or vegan butter)

½ c light brown sugar (or coconut sugar)

1 tsp. cinnamon

1 tsp. allspice

1 tsp. cloves

1 tsp. nutmeg

For 1 cocktail: 

2 Tbs. butter mixture

2 oz dark rum (for a cocktail) OR,  2 oz chai tea concentrate (for a mocktail)

hot water (~150 F)

1 dropper CBD Tincture

Tools: 

electric beater

Instructions: 

Cream butter mixture ingredients and store up to 6 months in an airtight container. Only requires 2 Tbs. of butter mixture per drink. 

For one serving: mix 2 oz dark rum OR 2 oz of chai tea concentrate, with 2 Tbs. butter mixture. Add 6 oz hot water & 1 dropper of full-spectrum CBD tincture and blend. Garnish with cinnamon. Cheers!

8. CBD “Hot” Chocolate (with a kick!) 

Can be made DF – makes 1 serving

CBD “Hot” Chocolate

Ingredients:

1 cup milk or milk alternative

2 Tbs. (30 g) chopped dark chocolate

2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder

1 Tbs. sweetener (sugar, honey, maple syrup, stevia)

¼ tsp vanilla

¼ tsp cinnamon

⅛ tsp cayenne (add more if you like it spicy!)

1 dropper CBD Tincture

Tools:

saucepan

knife & surface (for chopping chocolate) 

whisk

Instructions:

Steam milk over low heat, and whisk in remaining ingredients (except Tincture) when hot. Add CBD Tincture last, and garnish with cinnamon and cayenne. 

9. CBD Golden Milk 

Vegan, refined sugar-free. makes 1 serving

CBD Goldenmilk

Ingredients: 

1 cup coconut milk (full fat works well)

3/4 tsp. turmeric

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 tsp. ground ginger (or fresh)

Pinch of black pepper

1/2 Tbs. sweetener (coconut sugar, stevia, honey, OR maple syrup)

1 dropper CBD Tincture

Tools: 

saucepan 

whisk

Instructions: 

Heat and whisk all ingredients (except Tincture) over low heat, until steaming. Take off heat, and stir in CBD Tincture. 

10. CBD Eggnog

Vegan – makes 3 servings

CBD Eggnog

Ingredients: 

1.5 cups coconut milk

1/2 cup coconut cream

1/4 c raw cashews

1/4 c sugar, or maple syrup.

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1/8 tsp nutmeg

optional:

A pinch of turmeric (for color)

3 oz. bourbon, or dark rum.

3 droppers CBD tincture

Tools: 

blender

mesh sieve

saucepan

Instructions: 

Soak cashews in 1 cup of cold water. Drain cashews after 30 minutes, and discard water. Add all ingredients (except optional CBD and/or booze) to a highspeed blender. Blend until smooth.

For a classic silky smooth texture, pour the nog’ through a fine-mesh sieve. Serve chilled, room temperature, or heat up gently over a low flame. Add optional booze, and/ or CBD tincture before serving, and garnish with cinnamon.
